Cerridewn’s Cauldron Tarot Spread And Meditation. #falltarotbloghop

Welcome to the Fall Tarot Blog Hop! This Blog Hop is hosted by the awesome Sharon Basanti, creator of the absolutely beautiful Seeds of Shakti Oracle cards.

For my contribution I am offering a meditation and providing a card spread for you all. This is all to celebrate the coming of Autumn and the beginning of the dark time of the year.

I for one am looking forward to it. I may worship sun deities but I am not a fan of the heat that summer brings. Im a wilting flower during the hotter times of the year. LOL!

Because this blog hop is centered around Fall and Tarot I decided Cerridwen would be a great focus for a meditation. She is a Goddess of the Moon, Death, Fertility, Poetry, Witchcraft and more.

There is a story about when Cerridwen was brewing a potion for her son to make him strong and intelligent. The boy that she employed to stir the cauldron for a year accidentally spilled a few drops on his fingers…as is natural he sucked the liquid off his fingers. In doing so he inadvertently caused all of Cerridwen’s work to go to pot. (see what I did there? LOL) Needless to say she was not impressed. The boy ran away and while doing so he changed his shape several times but each time Cerridwen found him. In the last transformation he turned into a kernel of corn and was summarily eaten by Cerridwen who was in the shape of a chicken. My tarot spread below is inspired by this Myth.

My intention with this spread is one of unblocking. This spread will bring to your attention where you need to break down walls you have built and give actionable advice from spirit/Cerridwen whichever you prefer. This advice will help you to move forward and past those blocks.

This spread is designed to look like a cauldron and three drops of potion splashing out. Here is what It should look like.

Please see below for the details of each position.

First Card (Hare): What is causing me to be hasty or impatient in my earthly journey?

Second Card (Dog): What can help me ease or move past this impatience?

Third Card (Fish): Where in my life have I lost my magic/passion?

Forth Card (Otter): How can I get that playfulness back?

Card Five (Bird): Where in my life do I feel caged? In what way do I feel I have lost my voice?

Card Six (Hawk): Advice for breaking the bars of my cage and finding my voice again.

Card Seven (Wheat Kernel): Where have I been playing small and not allowing myself to grow?

Card Eight (Hen): Advice to take so I can begin to grow and live bigger?

Cards 9-11: Three drops of wisdom granted from Cerridwen/spirit. These cards will give advice and encouragement to see you forward on your life journey.

I hope you enjoy the spread and that it has brought some enlightenment to you on your journey.

Now for the meditation! The links below will take you to a Youtube video or Soundcloud file. You can choose which format to use. I will take you through a meditation where you will meet Cerridwen. So before you go ahead with the meditation, please prepare a space. Make sure it is quiet, have water near by and collect anything else that will make you comfortable during a meditation. I highly suggest a crystal companion or any other sacred tool you personally use with meditations.

Are you ready? OK, click the link of your choice and begin. I hope you enjoy the meditation. 😀

I want to wish you all a wonderful autumn. It is a beautiful time of year with all the color and change happening. A supremely spiritual time as well. I plan to get in closer contact with my ancestors during this darkening time of the wheel. Samhain and Yule are coming and this always excites me as they are my favourite holidays.

What will you be doing during this time on the Wheel of the Year?

Please comment below any thoughts you have about this blog and its contents or about the Dark time of the Wheel. Id love to read what you have to say.

May you be blessed!
